Greener best-quality 10ga side by side double-barrel shotgun with extra set of barrels in deluxe Moroccan leather lined case, sterling silver mounted, finely engraved with maker’s label visible in lid.Gun #4400. This shotgun is one of the finest English arms of the mid 19th century we have ever cataloged. An archive of letters and documentation are included which document the ownership to Mahlon Frank who was an Olympic shooter during the Los Angeles Olympics and later owned a gun shop in Pasadena, CA. He obtained this shotgun from Mr. Stephens McIver who inherited it from Mr. Harry Houghton of San Francisco, who obtained itfrom famous American Sportsman William N. Green of Worchester, MA, and purportedly it was made at the behest H.R.H. Prince Albert who presented it to Green. A letter on United States Revolver Association stationarystates the gun was purchased for $1,500 by Mr. Harry Houghton of San Francisco at about the turn of the century. A letter from W. W.
