“W. Adams, London” engraved double action pinfire revolver with period engraved agent name on the barrel “Campbell, Striker & Company, New Orleans”. The pistol measures 12 ¼” overall with 5 and nearly ¾” octagon barrel with smallindistinguishable proofs to simulate British proofs and probably Continental made as an infringement. The metal surfaces show a gray to brown patina finish and the loading lever has been removed. The grips show Continental styling withcarving and shall design at the tops with checkering and a Continental style spurred escutcheon very similar in design to a Le Mat. The numbers 1 and 5 are engraved on the cylinder and it is a 5 shot. This is a very rare southern agent and the only specimen we have cataloged or ever seen. Obtained by our consignor from noted expert and author Norm Flayderman. Just the type revolver a Confederate officer would of privately purchased. Est.: $2750-$5500
