Very interesting out-of-the-family Mauser Model 98 bolt-action rifle, #8790 with “bring back” papers dated June 26, 1945, in cosmoline, wrapping paper and original shipping box sent home from Germany at theend of the war by an American GI; one of two sent home by First Lt. Jack Fairchild to his brother Willis Fairchild of Gardena, CA. The family reports this gun and the following lot were found by Lt. Fairchild in a boxcar inGermany d was sent home where the family opened the box but never assembled it. We cannot find any nazi inspection markings leading to an assumption that it was one of the last ditch Mausers to be made for the war effort that ended before it could be inspected and supplied to troops. We will assemble the gun for te successful buyer. A great “bring back” with a great history! Est.: $750-$1,500.

Buyer pays all cost of materials, handling, packing etc. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
