Very good quality Spanish style transition rapier with the blade marked “Toledo” showing armorer’s maker’s mark and letters or cipher on the blade which may indicate the date. The condition is very good plus to near fine with just minimal normalaging and some slight beginning pinprick pitting. The grip is wrapped in copper wire and shows no evidence of ever being a part. The sword measures 43 ½” overall with a 36” blade and is its original length. We would estimate the age at early 1700s. Est.: $1250-$2500
