This is an excellent example of the 1914 pattern, WWI Luger as used by all German forces. These pistols have an all rust blued finish with straw colored small parts. The top of the barrel extension is dated 1916 and the front toggle is marked "DWM". The right side of the barrel extension has the three "crown/ gothic letter" proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof. The Imperial Eagle proof is also marked on the top, rear section of the barrel, left side of the breechblock and right side of the barrel extension. The upper safety position and extractor are correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN". It is fitted with the standard checkered walnut grips, and it has fixed sights, with the stock lug on the back strap. It is complete with the correct nickel plated magazine body with the matching wooden base.
