• Longevity, fertility, and maternal excellence are at the core of our breeding program, and this bred heifer comes from a long line exemplifying all three. Her dam, at 13 years old, continues to impress with a remarkable calving interval of 363 days among 12 head and a weaning ratio of 101. Her sons have consistently averaged over $7,000 in our sales. We were fortunate to have her grandam until she was 12 years old, and during her time, she achieved a calving interval of 373 days among 11 head, a weaning ratio of 102, and an impressive average of $7,500 for her sons.
• Maternal sisters to this heifer include an 11-year-old pathfinder and donor who has maintained a 370-day calving interval while being flushed, alongside a weaning ratio of 106 and a yearling ratio of 104. Sons of this donor have included our pick from the 2020 calf crop, VDAR Twenty Twenty, who we retained for breeding. This heifer holds a special place in our program and will be sorely missed.
• Her sire also hails from a lineage of outstanding cows. His dam, currently 11 years old at Jenkins Cattle Co. in Georgia, continues to be in production. Furthermore, his donor grandam remains on our property at 13 years old, boasting a birth ratio of 96 and a weaning ratio of 102.
