This lot includes four advertising calendars (1936, 1937, and two from 1938), distributed by the Rieder Mercantile in Valier, Montana, advertising De Laval milkers, separators, and accessories. The two month at a time pages all include a place of travel interest in the United Sates with two paragraphs about the importance or significance of the place or building in the main image. The advertising portion of the calendars include two paragraphs on each page about the dairy industry or dairy products, and De Laval products for the dairy farm. The last full page of each calendar is a full spread of De Laval Separators and Milkers offered. The calendars were printed for The Rieder Mercantile in Valier, Montana, which assumedly carried De Laval products. One of the calendars advertises, "The Big Store/ Everything From Pins to Prunes". The front of each calendar features the artwork of Nana Bickford Rollins (1886-1959. The calendars are in good condition for their age. One of the two 1938 calendars has pencil markings on the front; the 1936 calendar also has pencil markings and scribbles on the front as well as crayon "art" on the back page and on the back. Each calendar measures 8" x 8 3/8".
