Oil on canvas painting titled "Summer in the Wheat Fields" by Vasily Kumich Komolov. (1918-1990) Vasily participated in all major Russian and Soviet exhibitions. In 1968 the Voronezh Artists' Union gave him a personal exhibition. In 1991 an American art publisher and historian of Russian art named Vasily as one of the top three hundred artists in the Soviet Union from 1930 to 1990. Examples of Komolov's work can also be seen in The Dictionary of Russian and Soviet Painters, written by Matthew Cullerne Brown. In very good condition with a few 5-10mm non-detracting flake loss in lower edge. Canvas measures 39x31 inches and 46.5x39 inches framed. Provenance from Studio B Gallery Henderson, NC. BIDDING
Bidding advances shall be regulated by the auctioneer and shall be at his discretion. He or she has the right to refuse any bids. Some of the items offered at auction are subject to a reserve. A reserve is a minimum price agreed upon by the consignor of the property and the auction house. The auctioneer may bid on behalf of the consignor in order to reach the minimum sale amount. If the minimum amount is not reached, the auctioneer may pass the item. The auctioneer reserves the right to bid on behalf of clients and vendors, but shall not be liable for errors or omissions in executing instructions to bid. All bidders are required to complete the registration and obtain a bidder number. All registration cards contain the full name, address, phone number, and e-mail address. Absentee bids may be left via our website, or at our store location. Absentee bidders agree to all terms and conditions. PAYMENT

If an invoice remains unpaid for longer than this time, the item(s) will be considered forfeited and ownership of property will revert back to Affiliated Auctions. When bidding through Proxibid.com, the stored payment method will be automatically processed at the end of the auction.
