This rifle appears to be an English 1843 Military Pattern void of any visible markings. Many of the brass parts, including the bayonet handle are crudely made. The barrel is equipped with a square stud front sight and a two leaf (one folding, one stationary) rear sight. There is a bar mounted on the right side of the muzzle for mounting the bayonet. The stock is secured by three wedges and there is an iron button head ram rod held by two brass pipes. The brass trigger guard has a grip extension and a sling swivel is mounted on the front. There is another swivel mounted on the muzzle end of the stock. Mounted with a full straight grip stock with brass buttplate. The bayonet has a 22" unmarked blade.
