"Laws of The United States of a Local OR Temporary Character and Exhibiting The Entire Legislation Of Congress Upon Which The Public Land Titles In Each State And Territory Have Depended. December 1, 1880. Embracing, Also, A Digest Of All Indian Treaties Affecting The Titles To Public Lands; An Abstract Of The Authority For, And The Boundaries Of, The Existing Military Reservations; And A Table Of Judicial And Executive Decisions Affecting The Various Subjects Arising Under The Public Land System. Prepared pursuant to the authority of an act of Congress and under the direction of the "Commission on the Codification of existing laws relating to the survey and disposition of the public domain" Washington: Government Printing Office. 1880. Of particular note, are the land laws for the territories of Arizona, Dakota, Idaho, Indian, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Also included is a "Digest of Indian Treaties". A magnificent reference on the validity of land titles in 1880 during the westward expansion of the United States. Two volumes bound in leather, age tanning exhibited throughout, minimal foxing noted. Covers of both volumes exhibit scuffing. Volume I measures 9"L x 6"W x 1.75"D, Volume II is 9"L x 6"W x 1.5"D with the total weight being 4lb 14oz.*
