Manufactured in Belgium, circa 1865-70, under a license from Christian Sharps. The barrels are marked on the muzzle end with the Liege proof mark over a small "crown/V". Steel barrels with a brass frame marked on the left side around the hammer screw "C. SHARPS/PATENT 1859". The right side of the frame is marked around the hammer screw as well, however only the last letters of the marking can be made out "S & CO./PA". The action is opened via the combination trigger guard/lever which is pushed forward in turn sliding the barrels forward for loading. Flared grip frame fitted with ivory grips.
