Ultra-rare F. W. Freund, maker, Cheyenne, Wyoming marked double rifle with extra shotgun barrels, nicely engraved and gold inlaid with high grade checkered select walnut stocks and leather carrying case withaccessories, pictured page 335 Freund & Bro. Pioneer Gunmakers to the West. This is the only known example of a double rifle by this western gunsmith, who was a major supplier to the buffalo trade in the west. The rifleshows and under lever type action, probably altered by Freund from a imported German action with Freund made barrels that are nicely engraved fine cast steel and show impressive hand engraved rear sight, whichshows Freund patent 1880 in hand engraved fancy script. The blade front sight is of the rocky mountain type and shows Freund name and stamps. The action is nicely tight scroll engraved with gold inlaid Freund &Bro. on each side of lock. Each trigger shows a adjustment screw for setting trigger. The arm is nicely stocked in American burl walnut with a typical Freund pattern checkering. The rifle barrels are .45 cal.,

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
