Model 1911A1 Automatic Pistol manufactured in 1944 by the Remington Rand Co., of Syracuse, New York. The barrel is stamped with the "HS" (High Standard) marking on the right side of the lug and "P" on the left side. The Keyes Fibre Co., stocks have narrow reinforcing rings around the screw holes and the insides of the grips have strengthening ribs and the Keyes five-pointed star and mold numbers. The full blued magazine is stamped on the floor plate lip with a "R" (Risdon Mfg. Co.) manufacturer's mark. The Ordnance escutcheon is hand-stamped on the right side of the receiver behind the stock. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and the second style serial number marking: / "NO. 1927582" are roll-stamped behind the slide stop hole. " M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" is stamped in front of it. The left side of receiver is stamped with the Ordnance final inspection mark "FJA" below the slide stop and a "P" proof mark below the magazine release. A "P" proof mark is stamped on the top of the slide between the rear sight and the ejection port. The second style marking: "REMINGTON RAND, INC./SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A." is roll-stamped on the left side of the slide in two lines. The bright metal finish is visible in receiver and slide proof marks, Ordnance escutcheon, and factory inspection marks.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 97% of the original parkerized finish and has all of the proper components. Finish loss is limited to some very minor edge wear on the forward part of the slide and receiver and some cycling marks on the barrel chamber. The bore is bright. The slide and receiver markings are crisp. The plastic stocks are in excellent condition. The magazine retains about 95% of the original blue finish.
