U.S. World War II Inland M1A1 Paratrooper Style Semi-Automatic Carbine

Manufactured between October 1942 and December 1943. Front sight is stamped with an "N", the barrel is stamped "INLAND MFG. DIV./GENERAL MOTORS/8-43", 1st type barrel band stamped "UI", 2 rivet handguard, straight slide face, flat bolt, 1st type rear sight stamped "wSi", "W-I" stamped magazine catch, push button safety and a high wood paratrooper style stock with "IO" stamped on the bottom of the pistol grip. With a green web sling.

Very fine as restored, the front sight, slide and receiver retain 99% of an almost black parkerized finish. The barrel has a reddish brown patina with some minor pitting under the finish. The bolt and stock hardware retain 98% of a light green parkerized finish with some scratches and wear. The wood is very good with some dings, scratches and is not stamped with a "P" proofmark or an ordnance cartouche. The buttplate has the correct casting marks and the leather cheek rest has been replaced with a modern reproduction.
