U.S. Trapdoor Springfield rifle, .45-70 cal., 32-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood full stock, iron cleaning rod, sling swivels, #170426*. This gun is in overall good to near very good conditionshowing traces of original blue finish along stock rails with balance gone plum and showing scattered pin prick pitting; receiver and side plate have gone to silvery tone with good case colors on the underside of the trapdoor, crisp action, good markings, overall good bore; wood stock is good with scattered old mars and dings from carry and storage and a visible inspector’s cartouche “SWP 1881”.
