U.S. Springfield trapdoor rifle, .45-70 cal., 32-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stock, leather sling, #307875 (somewhat eligible) in overall un-cleaned condition showing a dark patina on metal surfaces with scatteredsurface rust and visible case colors on the “trapdoor” and hammer; very good bore, crisp action; wood shows scattered mars, scratches and dings with some losses at the muzzle area and some staining areas on the butt stock; the sling isdry with a couple breaks causing it to have separated; “out-of-the-attic” condition.
