U.S. Springfield percussion rifle, .58 cal., 39-1/2" barrel dated 1863, sling swivels, iron ramrod, lockplate also dated 1863 with U.S. marked socket bayonet. This gun is in overall very good condition showing a dark patina to metal surfaces with scattered spots of erosion, crisp action, very good markings including proofs on left side of barrel at breech, dark bore, good + stock displaying scattered old mars and scratches from carry and storage; bayonet is in overall very good condition.
