U.S. Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor rifle, .45-70 cal., 29-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stock, #279106 in overall un-cleaned good condition showing a dark plum patina with traces of case color on trapdoor and rear tang; good bore, crisp action, top of receiver marked “M 29”; good wood with scattered mars and dings from carry and storage; “F 33” stamped on top of comb, “15” painted in white on bottom of butt stock, “24” stamped into top of butt plate.
