U.S. Springfield Model 1879 trapdoor rifle, .45-70 cal., 32-1/2” barrel, military finish, wood stock, #256542. This gun is in overall very good condition showing a brown patina on barrel with spots of erosion, silvery toning on trapdoor and lock plate, fair bore, crisp action, good markings and very good wood stock with “52” stamped at two places on the top of the butt stock area; some mars and scratches, circle P proof and visible SWPdated cartouche on left side of stock above trigger. We ship Federal Express, we can not ship to PO Boxes. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence.
