U.S. Springfield Model 1873 trapdoor rifle, .45-70 cal., 32-1/2” barrel, wood stock, #74417. This gun is in overall very good condition showing a dark plum patina to metal surfaces mixed with blue, bore is well-worn, crisp action, sharp markings, top of receiver is stamped “MASS”; wood is overall good with scattered old nicks, mars and scratches from carry and storage.
