U.S. Springfield Model 1871 Ward-Burton bolt-action rifle, .50 cal., 33” barrel, “in-the-white” finish, full wood stock, iron cleaning rod, sling swivels, #NVSN. This gun is in overall very good condition showing alight grey patina with scattered spots of erosion and some light surface rust areas that should clean easily, very good bore, markings and action; wood stock is overall good to very good with an old well-donerepair to both sides of the stock beneath the action and up to the first barrel band; likely arsenal accomplished; a very hard-to-find martial example as a mere 1,000 rifles were manufactured at the SpringfieldArmory circa 1871. Est.: $1,400-$2,800.
