The 1863 dated lock plate has the standard "eagle/shield" and "U.S./SPRINGFIELD" markings with the breechblock dated 1869 with the eagle head/cross arrows over "US". Matching number on barrel and receiver. Blade front sight/bayonet lug and ladder rear sight, with sling swivels, two barrel bands, and iron ramrod. With "US" marked socket bayonet and scabbard with frog.

Condition: Fine. The barrel has a brown patina with minor oxidation except for the muzzle end which is protected by the bayonet. The buttplate has a dark lightly oxidized brown patina and the remaining surfaces have a smooth dark patina. The stock is also fine with crisp flats around lock plate, a few overall scattered minor dents and dings. The markings are clear. The action is excellent. The bayonet has a gray patina with some minor pitting, most of the original blue finish remains on the scabbard with scattered minor oxidation and the stitching on the frog remains tight.
