The barrel is marked "S A/flaming bomb/3-30" just behind the front sight and there is a small star at the 6 o'clock position of the muzzle. Fixed front sight with Model 1921 sight cover and ladder rear sight without the 2,850 yard notch and with a rear sight cover marked "P.J. O'HARE/SOUTH ORANGE, N.J./MADE IN U.S.A.". The polished bolt is unnumbered and marked "NS" at the base of the bolt knob. Mounted on a matching serialized walnut pistol grip type "C" stock with "circled P" proof on the front of the wrist, two reinforcing bolts, a boxed "D.A.L." cartouche on the left wrist and a checkered steel buttplate with trapdoor (empty).
