ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 1157682. Bbl. 24", marked behind front sight "SA (flaming bomb) 9-44". Ladder rear sight graduated to 2850 yards without volley notch. Dished, windage and elevation knobs. Sight base made without lightening cuts. Blade front sight with stamped protective hood marked "US" (flaming bomb)". Receiver is ejection port for the Pedersen device and the left rail, and is marked on the receiver ring "MARK I". Model 1903 A3 replacement bolt, marked on top of handle with "X". Bolt shroud is marked "R" and boxed "7". Standard type cutoff is marked "R". Sear is standard rifle type. All milled furniture, except stamped stacking swivel. Smooth trap buttplate. Smooth trigger. Replacement walnut stock set with WWII type pistol grip. Stock cut for handguard ring at front of receiver. Left side of stock is not cut with the Pedersen type slot, but is low enough to clear the ejection port. Stock has 2 recoil bolts and is marked with boxed "S.A.G.A.W. (crossed cannons)". Cutout recess is marked with a reversed "K". Forend tip is marked "S". Green web reproduction sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: plastic oiler in butt. CONDITION: stock set has very light wear with scattered tiny handling marks over arsenal rework type finish. Metal retains a very large percentage of it's arsenal rework parkerized finish.
