U.S. Model 1917 bolt action rifle by Winchester, .30-06 cal., 26” Winchester barrel dated 7-17, military finish, wood stock, tan woven sling, #16789 in overall very good condition showing the majority of its military finish, very good to near fine bore, sharp markings, crisp action and very good wood with some scattered mars and scratches from carry and storage including a couple larger old dings, one on the right side by the receiver and the other on the left near the wrist; there is an interesting cartouche stamped in the left butt stock: “73355” over “RCAF” under a broad arrow (Royal Canadian Air Force?); a nice early Winchester 1917.
