U.S. Model 1860 Cavalry sword and scabbard in overall very good condition by Mansfield and Lamb dated 1862 with inspector initials G.G.S. on hilt; blade is overall very good, brass guard is uncleaned, grip is good with wire wrap present, some loss to leather; scabbard is good with some spotting erosion, also uncleaned; brass swivels for hanger appear original to-the-period, leather strap is a modern replacement.
