Manufactured from 1863 to 1875. The revolver has the standard three line New Model barrel marking on the top barrel flat. Single letter inspection marks are stamped on most of the components. The matching serial number is marked on the frame under the grip and on the bottom barrel flat. Fitted with smooth walnut grips are numbered to the gun with a clear cartouche on the lower left and small letter "J"s on the bottoms.

Condition: Very good plus. The revolver retains 20% original blue finish (strongest on the barrel) with the balance a mottled brown-gray patina with some mild spotting. The grips are excellent with some scattered chipping and a few mild handling marks. The cartouche is crisp. Mechanically excellent.
