U.S. Mansfield & Lamb Civil War Production 1860 Pattern Cavalry Saber. 35 inch curved dual fuller blade, with "U.S/J.M/1864" on the left panel and "MANSFIELD/&/LAMB/FORESTDALE,R.I." on the right. Brass dual branch guard, with a wire wrapped leather covered grip. A rack number "279" is stamped on the pommel and guard. With an iron scabbard. Refurbished by Springfield Armory circa 1906, thus being termed as a Model 1906 saber. U.S. Springfield Model 1913 "Patton" Cavalry Sword. 34 3/4 inch double edge single fuller blade, with "US/3624" on the right ricasso and "S(bomb)A/1913" on the left. Blackened steel hand guard, with a checkered thumb rest grip. With a canvas wrapped, metal fitted scabbard.

Condition: U.S. Mansfield & Lamb Civil War Production 1860 Pattern Cavalry Saber. Fine, showing some minor spotting and handling marks on the blade, a mixed patina on the brass, mild wear on the leather, and a mixed brown color to the sheath. U.S. Springfield Model 1913 "Patton" Cavalry Sword. Very fine, with signs of polishing on the blade and areas of gray and brown patina on the hilt. The sheath shows an area of staining on the canvas, and mild metal wear. The blade is straight, and the component fit is very tight.
