The Model 1805 pistol was manufactured circa 1806 to 1808 with a total production of about 4,096 with approximately 2,580 dated 1807. The lock is marked "HARPERS/FERRY/1807" behind the hammer and an eagle above "US" stamped in front of the hammer. The left rear of the barrel is stamped with a recessed "US" and "eagle head P" and the number "1845". The furniture is brass and it has a smooth stock.

Condition: Good. The barrel has a bright appearance and the action has a dark gray patina. There is some scattered mild pitting. The brass has a mixed patina. The barrel has been bored out to a slighlty larger caliber than the original .54. The lightly sanded, refinished/repaired stock is good with a couple hairline cracks and some scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
