U.S. Eagle head officers sword with curved blade circa about 1810-30s retaining original scabbard. The blade measures 30 ½” and sword is 36” overall. The blade shows engraved figures of American Eagle, stand ofarms, scrolls and considerable traces of original blue and guilt. Blade is good to very good. The sheath shows a fancy Eagle guard with Eagle had pommel. The grip is fluted bone and the scabbard shows traces ofsilver on the brass mounts. The scabbard is in good condition with some cracking but a tight seam and just normal aging. A very nice Eagle head officers sword with a fancier than normal hilt. Est.: $900-$1,800.
