Manufactured in 1914, this pistol is one of 300 shipped to the Adjutant General, State of rhode Island, Providence, RI. on April 16, 1914. The left side of the slide is marked with the two line, two block 1897-1911 patent dates and address, with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, the left side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" , and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" is marked on the right side of the slide. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number and the left side is marked with the circle "WGP" inspection mark of Major walter G. Penfield. The barrel chamber is marked with a "P" and "H", and the rear of the slide is marked with the letter "H" above the firing pin. Fixed sights, lanyard ring on the heel, unmarked two tone magazine with lanyard loop on the bottom and fitted with checkered walnut grips with diamond around the screws.

Condition: Refinished with 98% blue finish remaining. There are a few tiny dings and some minor pitting visible under the finish on the slide. The replacement grips are excellent, with the exception of a minor crack on the bottom of the right panel, there are only a few small minor dings and sharp checkering. The markings are highlighted in white and remain clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
