Made in 1882. Fixed sights, with the one line italic Hartford address on top of the barrel, and the three line patent markings on the frame next to "U.S.". Matching numbers are present on the barrel, cylinder, frame and grip straps, with "D.F.C." David Clark inspection marks on the barrel, cylinder, and frame, and "S.C." stamped on the underside, denoting issue to a South Carolina unit. Smooth one-piece grips, with faint cartouches on each side and "1882" on the left.

Condition: Very good, showing an even untouched, totally original deep brown patina overall, with mild handling marks and scattered light pitting. Grips are very good as repaired, with a small amount of filler and the scratched letter "B" on the right panel, and some mild scratches. Mechanically fine.
