The top of the barrel is marked with the two line Hartford address and patent date (1884-1895) markings with "COLT D.A. 38" on the left side and a "P" and "RAC" on the underside. "RAC" and "LEB" are stamped on left side of frame. "RAC" also appears on the bottom of both grip panels and cylinder face, with "65" also stamped on left grip panel. "1928" on cylinder latch, frame and crane with "K" also present on cylinder latch. The butt is marked "U.S./ ARMY/ MODEL / 1901 / No / 141 / 928" and has a lanyard ring.

Condition: Very fine. The revolver retains 90% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina on the grip straps, trigger guard, and barrel with minor handling marks. The re-oiled grips are fine with some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
