Two Masonic Ames Daggers with Sheaths
1) 5 3/4" blade etched with a scroll pattern on both sides with the Masonic crown and cross and "AMES / SWORD Co / CHICOPEE / MASS" on one side and the name "W.G. CARLETON" on the reverse. Blade has rounded point. One piece checkered ivory handle with the head of a knight as the pommel. OAL: 9 1/2". With scroll engraved sheath with a red filled cross near the throat. 2) Same handle and sheath as described in 1, but with a 5 1/2" blade etched with a simple pattern with the Masonic crown and cross and 5 line Ames address on one side and the name "Charles E. Peck" on the reverse. OAL: 9 3/8".

Condition: 1) Very fine, with some light spotting on the blade and a few small spots of a black substance on the handle. The ivory has a nice grain pattern. The sheath has some minor scratches. 2) Very fine, with some minor spotting near the guard and a few hairline age crack on the handle. The ivory is taking on an attractive aged yellow color.
