A) Silver blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, with a brass plate installed next to the percussion drum. No visible maker's marks. Smooth full length stock with brass tip, silver banded hardwood ramrod, 3 silver diamond plates on each side of the forearm, zig-zag engraved brass plate opposite the lock, silver ovals on the wrist and cheekpiece, 3 silver stars on the left side of the buttstock, and 2 on the right flanking a brass patch box.

Condition: About good, with a mixed patina and scattered handling marks. The front sight has been altered, as has the hammer. Stock is good, with cracks at the tip and wrist, a few mild chips, and scattered dents. Mechanically fine.

B) German silver blade front and notch rear sight, with punched floral patterns on the top flap along with the marking "J.P. LOWER", and the scroll engraved receiver is marked "RIDDLE" in a banner ahead of the hammer, with a small field scene behind. Scroll engraved hammer, with a drum-mounted nipple and double set triggers. Smooth full length stock, with a brass tip, hardwood ramrod with brass fittings, brass finger rest/ pistol grip trigger guard, a silver crescent moon on the raised cheekpiece, brass buttplate and a brass patch box with engraved decoration and a horsehead design on the hinge.

Condition: Fair, with a mixed brown patina on the barrel, gray on the lock, and scattered dings and pitting. Hammer is possibly a replacement. The stock is good, with cracking opposite the lock, some dings and mild chips. The trigger guard is cracked at the rear. Lock plate is slightly loose with modern replacement hammer, otherwise mechanically very good.
