Two Indian Style Daggers with Gold and Silver Koftgari Inlay and Figural Silver Horsehead Handles

1) Silver and gold accented dagger, 14 1/2 inches overall, with a 9 7/8 inch long curved double edged blade, showing a fine Damascus pattern overall and a 1 3/4 inch long panel of gold and silver koftgari decoration on each side at the base of the blade. The hilt is cast silver with engraved fine details, with floral patterns along the sides, terminating in a sharply executed horse head on the pommel. With a silver cord bound and green felt covered hardwood sheath. 2) Silver and gold accented dagger, 15 1/4 inches overall with a 10 1/2 inch blade. Very similar in overall configuration to #1, with the koftgari on a 2 1/4 inch collar integral to the hilt.

1) Very fine, with a few light handling marks overall. The silver elements of the koftgari and the hilt show a well aged patina. A few scuffs and areas of loss are present on the sheath, with a few loose spots in the wire. 2) Very fine. The blade shows some fading of the Damascus etch, and the silver shows a fine aged color overall. The sheath shows mild wear.
