For your bidding pleasure are two original F.J. Haynes (1853-1921) Yellowstone National Park photographs circa 1910-20s. Frank Jay Haynes, known as F. Jay or the Professor to almost all who knew him, was a professional photographer, publisher, and entrepreneur from Minnesota who played a major role in documenting through photographs the settlement and early history of the great Northwest. The first photograph is marked on the back reading, "35267 Buffaloes At Antelope Creek, Yellowstone National Park, Copyright by 1935 by Haynes Picture Shops, Inc., St. Paul" and shows 25 bison roaming around a dirt area in Yellowstone. The bottom right of the photo has been stamped and reads, "Haynes Yellowstone Park". The second photo is marked on the back reading, "©36205 Tower Fall, Yellowstone Park, ©Haynes Inc.". and shows Tower Falls from a distance as tons of water rolls over the edge of the cliff. The photo is stamped on the bottom right reading, "Haynes Yellowstone Park". Both photos show good condition overall with little to no wear present and no signs of obvious damage present. The photos measure 13 13/16" L x 10 7/8" W.
