The left side of the slide is marked: "P. Mod.37, Kal. 7,65." followed by "jhv/41". The matching serial number is marked on the left, forward portion of the slide, the left front of the barrel, and the left side of the frame above the grip and on the magazine. The Nazi firing proof is stamped on the left side of the slide and the left side of the barrel near the muzzle, the left side of the trigger guard is marked with the "eagle / WaA175" acceptance stamp. Fitted with serrated walnut grips.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 90% original blue finish with some high edge wear, some thinning on the slide and front strap, and a smooth gray patina on the grip safety. The grips are very good with some scattered minor dings and dents, and crisp serrations. The markings are sharp. Mechanically excellent.

B) These models were produced in the first months of 1945, just before the surrender of Germany. The "SVW" markings are the late, last wartime code as used by the Mauser factory. The left side of the slide is marked with the large "P.38" next to the "svw/45" with the serial number on the rear of the slide in front of the safety lever. The right side of the slide has the Nazi eagle firing proof and two "eagle/ WaA135" Waffenamt code. The left side of the barrel lug and frame both have a single "eagle/WaA135" Waffenamt code, as does the right side of the locking block. The magazine is correctly marked on the left side with "P.38v" and "eagle/WaA135" on the spine. Fitted with black serrated grips.

Condition: Refinished with 99% phosphate finish remaining. The grips are excellent with a few minor scuffs and dings. The Waffenamt proofs are fading, but visible, otherwise the markings are clear. Mechanically excellent. Additional Information: The frame has been renumbered to match the slide and barrel.
