Two English 19th Century Folding Knives
1) Unmarked English folding bowie knife, 3 1/2" blade, silver front bolster with stag head and crossed rifle chiseled motif, and ivory scales with four rivets. Unique guard that swivels to allow the blade to close. OAL: 8 1/2". 2) Unmarked English pocket knife featuring four blades each measuring 1 1/4" long. The pearl scales feature a light carved motif and the frame appears to be brass. OAL in the closed position: 3 1/4".

Condition: 1) Very good. The sharpened blade has a mottled patina overall and there are some minor handling marks on the scales. The ivory has an attractive aged color and grain pattern. 2) Very good. The blades have a mixed gray patina with limited minor pitting. The pearl scales have a couple repairs with a minor chip missing and some minor wear.
