A) Manufactured from 1865 to 1870. Standard Brooklyn barrel address and floral engraving with "CE 77" marked on left side of the frame under the grip. Fitted with checkered grips.

Condition: Very good. The derringer retains areas of original blue finish (mostly on the barrel) with the balance a mottled brown-gray patina. The grips are good with worn high edges, a few minor handling marks and moderately worn checkering. Barrel is slightly loose, otherwise action is fine.
- B) Flayderman's lists this pistol as an "unidentified percussion pocket pistol" with "maker and quantity unknown". It is believed to have been manufactured circa 1850 to 1879. Brass construction with the barrel cast integral with the frame. Fitted with two piece varnished walnut grips.

Condition: Fine. The brass has a smooth dark untouched aged patina. The grip is good with a large chip missing from the right panel and some minor handling marks with most of the varnish remaining. Mechanically fine.
