Included in this lot we have a collection of two books on the History of United States gold coins and coinage, both are written by Q. David Bowers. The first book is titled "United States Gold Coins an Illustrated History" and was published by Bowers and Merena Galleries in 1984. It talks about the process of manufacturing gold coins and the history of the industry and information on the coins themselves. The second book is titles "The History OF United States Coinage as Illustrated by the Garrett Collection" and was published by Bowers and Merena Galleries in 1984. The book was written for John Hopkins University and discuses the history of US coins from the colonial era to 1979 when the book was written. The book also covers a bit about the Garrett family who's coin collection is featured in much of the pictures. The two books are both in great condition and measure 11 1/4" tall by 9" wide by 1 1/2" thick.
