Two Antique Revolvers A) Hopkins & Allen XL 4 Single Action Revolver
Two line address/patent date on the top barrel flat and "XL No 4 NY" on the top strap. Matching serial number on the barrel, cylinder pin, cylinder and frame. All nickel finish and fitted with smooth two piece walnut grips.

Condition: Very good. The revolver retains 40% frosted original nickel with a gray patina and extensive scattered minor pitting on the balance. The grips are also good with some high edge wear and scattered minor dings and scratches. Clear markings. The action is fine.

B) Hopkins & Allen XL No. 2 1/2 Single Action Revolver
The top strap is marked "HOPKINS & ALLEN MFG. CO. / XL No 2 1/2 / PAT. MAR. 28. 1871 APR. 27. 1875." Matching serial number on the barrel and frame, nickel finish with casehardened hammer and trigger, and fitted with smooth two piece varnished walnut grips.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 97% original nickel finish with some scattered small areas of flaking. Overall there are some minor scratches. The right grip panel has been cracked in half and repaired, otherwise the grips are very good with light high edge wear and some minor dings and scratches. Crisp markings. The action is fine.
