A) Manufactured from 1871-1877 this is an example of a standard model with a sloping hammer and without an ejector rod. Barrel is numbered to the gun and has the two line Hartford address. Nickel plated with niter blue hammer and trigger. Fitted with smooth grips.

Condition: Very fine. The revolver retains 90% original nickel finish with the balance a smooth gray patina showing some exposed brass on the high edges of the frame. There is a long gash on the cylinder. The hammer and trigger retain 70% original niter blue finish. The grips are very fine with a some minor handling marks and much of the varnish remaining. Mechanically fine.
- B) Manufactured from 1870 to 1890. The top of the barrel has the standard two line Hartford address followed by "No. 1" with the frame having the standard engraving and checkered panels on the grip area. The letter "C" is stamped ahead of the trigger, "41 CAL" is stamped under the barrel release and two British proofs are stamped on the underside of the barrel which is numbered to the gun.

Condition: Good. The metal surfaces have a bright appearance showing some very scattered light pitting. The grip checkering is crisp. Mechanically fine.
