Manufactured from 1868 to 1880. First type with traces of the three line address/"Pt. Applied for" marking. Grips are numbered to gun.

Condition: Good. The barrels have a smooth gray patina with some minor pitting. The brass has an even patina showing signs of having been cleaned some time ago. The grips are also good with worn high edges, a few minor dings, and some minor scratches. Mechanically fine.

B) Manufactured circa 1866 to 1878. American Arms barrel address, with the Wheeler patent dates barrel marking. Square butt with short barrels. Right grip panel numbered to gun.

Condition: Very fine. The barrels retain 30% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. The frame retains 90% original silver plating. The grips are very fine with numerous minor scratches with most of the varnish remaining. Mechanically fine.
