A) Barrel has the one-line New York barrel address and the Ranger and Indian scene roll-stamped on the cylinder. The barrel and cylinder are blue, while the frame, hammer and loading rod are case colored. The trigger guard and grip straps are brass with two piece ivory grips with Colt medallions. The engraving is a floral scroll design and covers 90% of the barrel and receiver. A gold-inlaid wire borders both sides of the frame and "1 of 50" in gold is centered on the right side. The front portion of the trigger guard is stamped "SET No 8". This gun set is complete with wooden case with wine-colored interior, two powder flasks, two bullet molds, one nipple wrench, and two empty cap tins. The lid of the case has a plaque that reads "COLT NAVY - COLT DRAGOON/ 1 OF 50/ SPECIAL EDITION".

Condition: Near new with only the slightest handling marks and an aged patina on the brass trigger guard and grip strap. The grips are very good with several hairline age cracks, a small chip on the right toe, a mellow patina throughout and very attractive grain. The case is very good with one separated divider and some minor dents and dings.

B) Colt 1851 Navy Percussion Revolver
Barrel has the one-line New York barrel address and the Texas naval scene roll-stamped on the cylinder. The barrel and cylinder are blue, while the frame, hammer and loading rod are case-colored. The trigger guard and grip straps are nickel with two piece ivory grips. The engraving is a feather scroll design and covers 90% of the barrel and receiver. The gun also has engraving accents on the hammer, trigger guard, grip strap and loading rod linkage. A gold-inlaid wire borders both sides of the frame and "1 of 50" in gold is centered on the right side. The front portion of the trigger guard is stamped "SET No 8".

Condition: Near new with only the slightest handling marks, and the silver is beginning to darken in areas. The grips are a bit ill fitting and remain very good with several hairline age cracks, a small chip on the right toe, a mellow patina throughout, and attractive grain. The case and accessories are all very good or better.
