Tussey Custom Government Model 1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol, in multiple calibers with two (2) complete Tussey slides and barrels. Built on a Colt frame #SG03581 using a Caspian Arms slide. The current configuration is a 5'' Schuemann Classic .38 Super barrel that has been re-chambered by Tussey to 9x23mm. Satin finish, checkered synthetic grips with lightly engraved screw heads, with Novak combat white 3-dot sights. Pistol also features a checkered front and back strap, lightweight hammer and trigger, and recoil spring plug is marked with an ''H''. Right rear portion of the slide is marked ''Tussey Custom''. Included is one factory Colt magazine. The second custom Tussey slide has a slightly duller finish and appears to be hard chromed and is unmarked with the exception of the ''Tussey Custom'' to the right rear section and includes a 5'' Bar-Sto barrel chambered in .357 SIG with a fixed front sight and fully adjustable Bo-Mar rear sight. This particular handgun was owned by firearms writer Paul Hantke and featured in the November 2009 Guns & Ammo magazine, in an article entitled ''Fast 9mms From the 1911'', pages 18-25. A full copy of the magazine is included. Also included with this pistol is an additional unmarked slide with a satin blue finish, fixed front sight, fully adjustable rear sight, and compensated Clark barrel chambered in .45 ACP; as well as a 5'' Clark barrel chambered in .40 S&W, extra small parts and springs, and Wilson Combat magazine. Pistol is in excellent condition overall showing only light handling marks, mainly micro-scratching to the slide. Grips with clean sharp checkering and also show just normal small marks from range use. Really nice smooth action and bright bore. The additional Tussey slide also shows just light marks from handling and range use; bore is bright. Unmarked blue slide rates very good showing general moderate scuffs and scratches; bore is fine. Extra .40 S&W barrel is good, bore shows moderate+ wear. Est.: $4,000-$6,000. (Modern/PPT)(Paul Hantke collection)
