Thomas (Tommy) Singer (born 1940 - May 31, 2014)
He is one of the most regarded silversmiths in Navajo history having created the ‘CHIP INLAY’ an intricate use of turquoise and coral chips integrated in to the silver work. This method made Mr. Singer famous world around in the 60’s. He is known for his overlay work, storyteller pieces, rug patterns and traditional motifs.
17" necklace is made up of 24 irregular turquoise stones, which have a wide color and matrix variation. Stones range in size from 12.8 mm - 19.8 mm in length to 12.3 mm - 7.25 mm in width. Necklace weighs 52.6 g has silver cone tips and a hook closure. Stones are strung on wire for strength and stability. Piece is not stamped sterling or signed. NOTE: has been tested and is silver
