The top of the barrel is marked "PHILADA" and the lock plate is marked "TRYON". Floral engraved lock plate, fish sculpted hammer, trigger guard and upper tang. Breech plug has gold and sliver inlaid bands. Stock has checkering on the grip area with silver end cap, and wedge escutcheons. Tryon was known to sell arms to the confederacy. The III cyrillic marks under the barrel suggest confederate usage.

Condition: Good. Barrel has a balance between a smooth brown patina and a smooth gray patina with the remaining metal surfaces having a smooth gray patina. There is some minor pitting. The stock is very fine with a couple small hairline cracks and some minor handling marks. Overall the checkering is crisp.
