You have the opportunity to bid on a set of fantastic Tower - Nickel plate handcuffs, designed in the "Bean's Pattern". These handcuffs which date to 1909, feature functioning lock-retard buttons, and double tooth bow's. Each cuff is stamped on the exterior with "Tower - Bean's Pattern". The Bean's design, which included a lock-retard system that received fantastic initial reviews for its soft round shape, and mechanical design - however, the button system did fall short because the button system was too small and often made officers fumble. Overall, these handcuffs retain 90% of their nickel plate and are in good functioning condition. The cuffs include what appears to be the key. They measure approximately 9 3/4" long, 2 3/4" wide when the cuffs are fully closed.
