One of only 550 manufactured between 1925 and 1928 as part of the second assigned serial number range by the Tokyo Gas and Electric Company. Numbered from 8,000 to 8,549, it is one of the rarer Papa Nambu contract pistols. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with the "GTE" mark on top of the extension, and the Tokyo Arsenal mark, model markings and serial number on the right. Matching numbers are present on the bolt and cocking knob. Fitted with checkered hardwood grips, painted symbols on the left panel, a smooth grip strap and nickel finished, alloy base magazine. With a brown leather clamshell flap holster.

Condition: Very good, with 50% of the arsenal refurbished blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, scattered moderate pitting and mild handling marks overall. 30% of the straw color remains on the trigger guard, with some silvering visible. Grips are fine, with a few small chips on the left panel and minor pressure dents. Holster is fair, with the flap stud absent, dents on the clamshell and scattered cracks and scuffing. Mechanically very good.
